Jio, Facebook Partner to Launch'Digital Udaan' Literacy Initiative

A literacy initiative was declared by reliance Jio on Wednesday in the nation for its Web users.

Included in this"Digital Udaan" initiative in cooperation with Facebook, Jio will participate with its customers each Saturday to help them understand about Jio Phone$ 1,470 attributes, usage of different apps and Web security for example use of Facebook.

The program has been launched in almost 200 areas across 13 countries to start with.

"This is a tool for comprehensive information, entertainment and education, in which no Indian is going to be left from the electronic driveway. It imagines to carry this to each city and village of India, attaining 100 percent electronic literacy in the nation," explained Akash Ambani, Director, Reliance Jio.

It now has 300 million consumers and many are first-time Web users.

It has functioned with Facebook to make sure that modules designed for"Digital Udaan" are applicable for individuals who want to offer train-the-trainer sessions and coaching videos and information brochures.

"Facebook is an ally in this assignment, and we're thrilled to associate with Jio in bringing new Web users and producing mechanisms for them to unleash the energy of this accessibility," said Ajit Mohan, Vice President and Managing Director Facebook India.
