Realme 1 Start Receiving Android Pie-Based ColorOS, realme U1 6 Update With May Android Security Patch in India

Realme 1 and Realme U1 consumers are getting the Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 upgrade. Realme India Service Twitter manage has verified that the rollout is underway and is being conducted in a staged fashion. The company states the upgrade will reach all users . Realme U1 users have taken to the discussion to discuss screenshots of this update coming on their components already. Realme 1 and Realme U1 obtained the ColorOS 6 beta update this month, and after testing, the upgrade is currently rolling out at a stable way.

Users have begun sharing screenshots of getting the ColorOS 6 update on Realme forums too. The size of the update for beta users is about 130MB, but users whon't used the beta version, may come across a large update size.

The Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 for Realme 1 and Realme U1 will bring notification icons in May Android Security patch, a new navigation drawer, an program drawer into the ColorOS launcher, Riding Mode, and status bar. The updates consist of new UI for notification panel, upgrade UI for AI Board, and default theme. The ColorOS 6 includes Nightscape mode, HAL3 support, Realme Game Center, and Realme Community app.

The update is rolling out over-the-air (OTA), but it's going to be a while before users get a notification. You can also check manually from the Preferences menu. It is wise to install the upgrade over a Wi-Fi connection that is good and though the phone is on charge or with sufficient charge.

To remember, Realme 1 was initially launched in India in May last year with ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, whereas Realme U1 debuted in November a year using ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
